Relive The Sights And Smells Of Old Hong Kong Through My Photographs

I drew inspiration from the anime Ghost in the shell (1995), in which Hong Kong was a model in terms of street scenes and general atmosphere. In the movie, Kai Tak Airport was in full operation. But in reality, it no longer existed - it was shut down in 1998.<br />
Hong Kong is a fast-changing city. The old is being replaced by the new. So I intend to capture the old Hong Kong before it's gone forever. I hope I can get people to take notice of the beauty of old Hong Kong and try to preserve the old by creating the images from my perspective.<br />

I See The World In Infrared

My name is James Zwadlo and this is a series of surreal Infrared photo-manipulations.<br />
This project started through a conversation I had with Gmunk about exploring the world of Infrared photography. After getting my old camera modded and to grips with the complex work-flow I decided to see how far I could push the colors past the traditional 2-tone Infrared photographs so as to make mine have their own look and feel unique.<br />
I have subsequently been able to combine them with my love of traveling and produced the second volume from my recent trip to the Bahamas.<br />
This year I intend to work more with these techniques and see if I can push this into video and also capture more countries in these surreal palettes.<br />

I Was Asked To Do An Infant Photo Session In The Forest And The Results Are Adorable

I’ll admit that I’m always nerves doing infant photo sessions, there are so many things that can go wrong, and infants are 100% unpredictable, so when I was asked to do an infant photo session in the forest, a 1/2 mile hike, I was darn right terrified!<br />
To my amazement everything went perfectly, the little guy loved looking up at all of the trees and never once even whimpered, in fact, it was my easiest infant session to date!<br />

It was a Thursday morning, the team of MUSEE FOTO went to the nursing home to take pictures for the elderly people living there.<br />
We spent the whole day talking with them, laughing with them and taking photos for them. These are the people who are kind, simple, adorable and versatile.<br />
That was such a good day. We appreciate it so much to have this opportunity to take portraits for them and we feel even happier when they received the printed photos and told us that they really like it.<br />

This Mom Had A Touching Photoshoot Of Her Newborn Twins Who Didn’t Have Much Time Left

Lyndsay and Matthew Brentlinger from Toledo, Ohio, had been trying to have a baby for years, and their wish finally came true on December 17th 2016 when Lyndsay gave birth to twins William and Reagan.<br />
Sadly however, William was born with various abnormalities and only the right side of his heart was functioning. At their 23rd week of pregnancy, the Brentlingers were told that their son would be a still-born, but he survived the birth and remained with his new family for 11 days before tragically passing away. “They were the happiest 11 days of my life,” said Matthew.<br />
To make the most of their short time together, a friend of the family got in touch with Lindsey Brown, a professional photographer, who agreed to do a touching photoshoot of William and his twin sister just before Christmas. “Pictures are just memories,” said Brown. “I know how much people cherish them, so I was really glad I was able to do that for them.” And as you can see, while William is no longer with us, he’ll live on forever in these beautiful pictures with his parents and twin sister.<br />
“I cried the first time I looked at them. I still cry sometimes,” said Lyndsay. “They are beautiful and he is beautiful. In some of them, you can see he is wide awake with his big beautiful eyes. It’s something we will definitely cherish.”<br />

This Is What China Looked Like In The 1980s

To many locals born in Hong Kong in the 60s, Mainland China in the 70s & 80s was so near and yet so far. Although Mainland China was at the doorstep, it was like a land of mystery. I born in the early 60s, was devoted to photography in the late 70s. In the 80s, as a college student majoring in journalism, followed the fad of travelling in China, brought along my camera and kicked off my adventure.<br />
At that time, I had only started photography for three or four years. Notwithstanding that I had limited knowledge about Chinese customs and culture, with my fervent passion, I many a time travelled to Mainland by rail. My adventure lasted occasionally for a few years, till my graduation.<br />
Prior to being digitalised a decade ago, the slides were only stored in storage boxes and not even published. The reappearance of the images inspired my to host a photo exhibition, be it a summary of my young photography life, or as a sharing to young photographers: The photographs you take in your early life, could be the most invaluable ones. Keep up!<br />
